Square Deal Riders
About Us
The American Motorcycle Association's 2009 Motorcycle Racing Club of the Year!
Square Deal Riders is one of the oldest motorcycle
clubs in the United States, Holding 15 or more events thoughout each year including Flat Track, WNYOA Hare-Scrambles, The SDR
Winter Series, Adventure and Road Rides.
We are a non-profit organization formed in 1937 as a family-oriented club dedicated to the
betterment of all forms of motorcycling.
SDR is active in the community, supporting many functions for local schools, the Christmas
Angels of Harpursville program, and sponsoring scholarships at our local high school. Its continued support over the years enabled
the Colesville (NY) Fire Department to buy a new ambulance.
Square Deal also hosts the longest-running - 40+ years - AMA sanctioned
off-road motorcycle series in the country -- the SDR Mud and Snow Scrambles, an eight-race winter series held on select Sundays from
November to the end of February.
We have had our traditional Rites of Spring Road run, thanks to the continued support of American
Spirit Motorcycle Club, on every first race day for many years !!!
Square Deal Riders has been promoting flat track motorcycle racing
for over 50 years, both at its own facility and formerly at the Afton Fairgrounds. Many of today's nationally ranked riders have ridden
at one of these facilities. AMA's own Grand National Champ, Kenny Coolbeth honed his skills as an amateur at our ultra-fast 1/4 mile
cushion track.
